"Pancho and Lefty" - Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard
"Pancho and Lefty" is a folk song written by Townes Van Zandt. Van Zandt first recorded it for his 1972 album, The Late Great Townes Van Zandt. Emmylou Harris then covered the song for her 1977 album, Luxury Liner and the song became a number one country hit in 1983 when Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson adopted it as the title track of their duet album Pancho & Lefty.
The song tells the story of a Mexican bandit named Pancho and a more enigmatic character, Lefty. The song tells of Pancho's death and implies that he was betrayed by his associate Lefty who was paid off by the Mexican federales.
Although many people assume the song is about the famous Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa, Van Zandt denied this. The lyrics are not reconcilable with any historic details of Villa's life and death. It is far more likely, as with many of Van Zandt's songs, that the song is about himself.
In an interview, Van Zandt recalled, "We got stopped by these two policeman and...they said 'What do you do for a living?', and I said, 'Well, I'm a songwriter', and they both kind of looked around like 'pitiful, pitiful', and so on to that I added, 'I wrote that song Pancho and Lefty. You ever heard that song Pancho and Lefty? I wrote that', and they looked back around and they looked at each other and started grinning, and it turns out that their squad car, you know their partnership, it was two guys, it was an Anglo and a Hispanic, and it turns out, they're called Pancho and Lefty..so I think maybe that's what it's about, those two guys..I hope I never see them again."

More detailed instruction here: https://gmb.io/hip-mobility/
Tight hips are extremely common, especially since most of us spend our days sitting, sitting, and sitting some more. This tightens the hip flexors and makes it difficult to get the most out of this incredibly important joint.
This sequence will help you loosen up your hips nicely.
Less tension in the hips can help reduce back pain and overall stiffness. You'll also notice greater ease of movement in all your physical activities.
You can practice this routine everyday - it only takes a few minutes :)
If any position is painful, back off and just do what you can. Over time, your range of motion will increase. Don't compare yourself to the guy in the video - he's been doing this a loooooong time. Just play your own game and use this demonstration as a guide to find your own range for the best stretch.

If you find yourself staying away from certain activities because you're afraid your back won't be able to handle it, that's no way to live. As long as you've ruled out any serious problems with a doctor, this daily routine will be helpful in overcoming your restrictions. 3) The soundboard source and the video source were both mono - I mixed the right channel of the video into the right channel of the soundboard so that each channel is different. I would guess that the sbd came from the another copy of the video as the waves were very similar but there was enough difference that while it is not true stereo, there is a definate difference between the channels and it sounds much better.

1948, Xmas eve, with a full moon over town
Stagger Lee shot Billy DeLions
And he blew that poor boy down.
Do you know what he shot him for?
What do you make of that?
Cause Billy DeLions threw the lucky dice
Won Stagger Lee's Stetson hat.
Bayo, Bayo, tell me how can this be?
You arrest the girls for turning tricks
But you're scared of Stagger Lee.
Stagger Lee is a madman and he shot my Billy D.
Bayo go get him or give the job to me.
Delia DeLions, dear sweet Delia-D
How the hell can I arrest him? He's twice as big as me.
Well don't ask me to go downtown, I won't come back alive (no more)
Not only is that mother big but he packs a .45 (four)
Bayo, Delia said, just give me a gun
He shot my Billy dead now I'm gonna see him hung.
She went into the DeLion's club through Billy DeLions blood
Stepped up to Stagger Lee at the bar,
Said, "Buy me a gin fizz, love."
As Stagger Lee lit a cigarette she shot him in the balls
Blew the smoke off her revolver, had him dragged to city hall
Bayo, Bayo, see you hang him high
He shot my Billy dead and now he's got to die.
Delia went a walking down on Singapore Street
A three-piece band on the corner played "Near My God to Thee"
But Delia whistled a different tune, what tune could it be?
The song that woman sung was "Look Out Stagger Lee".
The song that Delia sung was "Look Out Stagger Lee".

Recorded on the 1978 tour promoting his Cats Under The Stars album, presented here is The Jerry Garcia Band live at The Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey. The early show from this evening was simulcast live on WNEW in New York City and has long been a staple of Garcia collections, but relatively few have ever heard this second show from later that same night.
This particular JGB lineup included both Donna Jean Godchaux and Maria Muldaur on support vocals, who get a nice showcase of their own on the rarely performed gospel number "I'll Be With Thee." This recording is also remarkable for John Kahn being so prominent in the mix, which gives listeners a fine opportunity to hear the telepathic musical relationship he and Garcia enjoyed for so many years.
In addition to introducing fresh new material from the "Cats" album to the band's live repertoire, this performance also includes a diverse range of covers, including Irving Berlin's "Russian Lullabye," Hank Ballard's "Tore Up Over You" and The Band's "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down." Plenty of the laid back grooves that often defined Garcia's style with his own band are found here, but this performance also features many moments of ferocity, with Garcia in highly focused and inspired form. The evening culminates in a remarkable encore of "Rhapsody In Red," with both Muldaur and Godchaux belting it out and Garcia shredding up a storm near the end.

This "Jerry Garcia Band" concert is considered exceptional !
Why ? Perhaps another "Hampton" outing, ... ?, Bruce Hornsby sitting in ...?, perhaps the commercial CD release ...? ... in any case, the music, energy and smiles are clearly there ! Indeed, a great JGB show.

OK, I am stepping away from my theme of posting the team horn alone, and instead posting the team song! Here you go Whalers fans, you deserve a better recording of the famous Brass Bonanza than what everyone else on YouTube has posted. Enjoy!
On a side note, this song was also the goal song for the New England Whalers sans the horn.
Oh yes, Credit for this song goes to the composer, Jacques Ysaye, who is more commonly known by his pseudonym: Jack Say. Jacques, you rock!
"Rise" is a song written by Andy Armer and Randy Badazz Alpert, and first recorded by trumpeter Herb Alpert. The instrumental track was included on Alpert's solo album Rise and released as a single in 1979. It reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in October of that year and remained in the top position for two weeks. Herb Alpert thus became the first (and only) artist to reach the top of the Hot 100 with a vocal performance ("This Guy's in Love with You", 1968) as well as an instrumental performance. "Rise" also spent one week atop the adult contemporary chart. "Rise" was successful on the other charts: It peaked at number four on the soul chart, and number seventeen on the disco chart. The recording also received a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.

96 degrees in the shade
Real hot in the shade
Said it was 96 degrees in the shade
Ten thousand soldiers on parade
Taking i and i to meet a big fat boy
Sent from overseas
The queen employ
Excellency before you i come
With my representation
You know where i'm coming from
You caught me on the loose
Fighting to be free
Now you show me a noose
On the cotton tree
Entertainment for you
Martyrdom for me
96 degrees in the shade
Real hot in the shade
Some may suffer and some may burn
But i know that one day my people will learn
As sure as the sun shines, way up in the sky
Today i stand here a victim the truth is i'll never die
96 degrees in the shade
Real hot in the shade
I walked out of my hotel in Nashville and took a left, heard two guys playing loud, so I turned on in. Within a minute of walking into my first joint on this trip, one of the guitar players, John Riggins calls me out of the crowd and wants to know where I'm from? Then he wants to know what I want to hear? So I said Florida and John Anderson, and John Riggins responded with this version of Seminole Wind...the song that first drew me to Country music. Thanks John Riggins. Thanks John Anderson. Thank you Nashville!
